The Croydon Sports Development Team (formerly Croydon Sports Partnership) was established on 1st April 2006, following the Croydon Sports Partnership Trustees decision to dissolve the organisation. However the Croydon Sports Development Team will continue to promote and develop sport for local young people, including those with disabilities in partnership with local businesses and local sports organisations.
Croydon Sports Development is now funded by Croydon Council and staff within the team would be pleased to hear from any individual interested in supporting their work either voluntary or paid, particularly those of you qualified in the following sports: Athletics, Basketball, Hockey and Netball.
Using a wide variety of venues across the Borough Sports Development will continue to organise and implement a range of sporting, recreational and physical activities that are accessible within local communities.
The Sports Development Team is keen to encourage, and will positively support, school leavers to continue playing sport on leaving school. In addition, for those people interested in pursuing a career in sport and recreation, advice and information is available through the Team.
