A penalty by Mehmet Koksal after ten minutes was sufficient to see Davidson Primary School prevent Downsview Primary School pulling off a second consecutive Cup and League double when the Croydon Schools' Football Association's Under 11 League Final play-off took place at Royal Russell School on Tuesday, 29 April.

In an exciting match both sides strove hard to dominate but it was an even encounter. Bryan Ombel-Nill in goal and Croydon borough player, Donald Owusu up front were outstanding for Davidson.

St Joseph's College - having qualified for four out of five Croydon Schools' FA Cup Finals at Croydon Arena - experienced mixed fortunes in the first of the finals on Tuesday, 29 April.

Their Under 12s went down, 4-1, to Whitgift in the Warne Trophy Final.  Goal scorers for Whitgift were Jeremy Ocansey, Jubrill Adamson, Harry Fabian and an "own goal".  Joshua Shonowo got a consolation goal for St Joseph's.

But St Joseph's defeated Woodcote High School, 2-1, to win the Ryman trophy, with goals from Harry Williamson and Lance Herminstine.  George Thornton scored for Woodcote.
