It provides its members with an opportunity for report and discussion and it is also responsible for submitting an application to Croydon Council for an annual sports grant. A booklet serves as a directory of the Schools' Sports Associations and includes the constitution of the CSSC. It also gives a summary of the allocation of the Authority's Sports grant over the past eight years. It shows the diversity of school sport in Croydon and the commitment that many teachers give to the development of sporting activities. Excellence in Sport Awards Evening 2009 Croydon's Mayor, Councillor Robert Askey, presented the awards when Croydon Schools' Sports Council held their annual Excellence in Sports Awards Evening in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall.
