Courtwood Children's Playground
Located in Forestdale, between Court Wood Lane and Brookscroft Courtwood Children's Playground is situated on the Forestdale Estate amongst what remains of Court Wood. The wood was part of a large forested area that adjoined Selsdon Woods and it was the report in 1925 that all principle timber, both in Lady Grove and Court Wood has been removed that prompted the formation of a Committee to preserve the near by Selsdon Woods. A number of large trees were retained in the Forestdale development and substantial planting along the main roadways is a feature of the site. The playground and kick about area is a very popular feature.
