Comments: I am researching my Belfield family. My grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Belfield, was born in 1880 and lived for most of her life in Bromley. Several Belfield relations were born and lived in Croydon but I have been unable to find the connection between the Belfields who lived in Croydon and those who lived in Bromley. The Croydon Belfields were named Charles, Elizabeth, William, Henry and Joseph, being the family name that was in at least four generations - Joseph, b. 1801, 1821, 1851 and 1875. Louise Taylor

Comments: I am interested in a William Louis Reeve(s) son of Thomas J and Caroline Reeve(s). William was Bn 1887 Bermondsey, London and Died 18/7/1944 at 420 Brighton Rd in Croydon after a bomb was drop there. I have been told it was a newsagents and both William and the Shopowner were killed. This was during WW2. William live at 72 Churchhill rd which backed on to Brighton Rd according to the maps I have looked at for the area. William married Lilian May Dixon Bn 1892 Croydon. They had two Daughters Lilian and Ann. Ann married Len Collins (Leonard Charles Collins) he died in the 2nd WW in Italy.

Both William and Leonard are on the War Memorial in Katharine Street, Croydon, all be William a Civilian Casualty.

William's other daughter Lilian married Stanley Holmes who was born in 1916 Catford London and this is the connection between the families.

Anyone with any information about the Collins or Reeve(s) Families I would be grateful and any photos, Document from the time of WW2 or of the family I would be grateful for your help.

I remember a Terry Gillam and a Bobby Gillam from the 60's. I think they both worked in Surrey Street Market and both played football. They used to go to the Orchid Ballroom in Purley.
