Photographs of the Old Croydon Police Station being Demolished![]() The Old Police Station In 1980, the Police Station was vacated and demolished. The following set of photographs, kindly donated to us by Peter Wakeham, were taken from Taberner House and plot the sequence of work as it was carried out. The demolition work begins. The road you can see in
these pictures is now the pathway leading to the fountain in the middle of The
Queens Gardens.
