  • Croydon Dyslexia Association/CDA was set up in 1981.

  • It aims to provide information and support to people with dyslexia and to raise public and professional awareness of dyslexia.

  • CDA is a registered charity and is a member of the British Dyslexia Association.

  • Dyslexia can affect anyone and our membership includes parents and teachers of dyslexics, and many different professionals interested in specific learning difficulties. CDA also welcomes corporate members, such as schools, colleges, other local agencies and businesses.

  • The Association has six public meetings a year, held in Central Croydon, open to non-members as well as members.

  • David McLoughlin, from Independent Dyslexia Consultants (formerly the Adult Dyslexia Centre), spoke about 'Helping Young Dyslexics with Career Choices' at the CDA Open Meeting on 21st May 2008. He has kindly provided his PowerPoint presentation for anyone who missed the meeting or for people at the meeting who did not get a paper copy of the presentation.
