Croydon in Bloom 2010 competition

Awards 2010

Join in this years Croydon in Bloom competition by nominating a front garden, business or pub that really improves your local neighbourhood with a colourful floral display, community gardening project or sustainable garden.

Last year Croydon won silver-gilt awards in both Britain in Bloom and London in Bloom and were the outright winners in the large city category, so help us improve this year and go for gold. We can't enter Britain in Bloom because we have been nominated for two years in a row but we are going for 'Champion of Champions' in the London in Bloom competition.

Our success relies on everyone joining together to help make Croydon stand out from the rest. Croydon is one of London's greenest boroughs and was one of the first to get involved in the ‘Bloom’ campaign in the 1960s.

The Bloom campaign is more than just flowers and plants, the judges will want to see evidence of good conservation practices, a high standard of general cleanliness across the borough and most important, a strong sense of community and that everyone is getting involved in improving their borough.

So a call to goes out to everyone in Croydon whether you live here or work here, get involved and enter Croydon in Bloom. No matter how small or large your front garden or balcony, no matter where you live, help 'discover a greener borough' and contribute to making Croydon an even more attractive place to live, work and visit.

So how can you get involved?
