Key Worker - Croydon Opportunity Preschool

Part Time

£7.14 per hour

Key worker required to work in the pre-school. Children's ages ranging from 3 months to 5 years.

NVQ3 or DPP (min. grade C or above) Childcare qualification required.

Experience with working with special needs children would be an advantage but not essential.

Job description

Key worker allocated to children & their families.

To provide safe & stimulating play for children with & without special needs, together in an inclusive setting.

To work in partnership with parents as part of a multi-disciplinary team, helping the children to reach their full potential.

Participate in planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities for individuals, groups, monitoring and assessing children and recording and reporting their progress.

Sessions are Term time only:

Monday to Wednesday 9:15 to 3:15

Thursday 9:15 to 12:30

Wages £7.14 per hour for 42 weeks per year.

Ability to write clear and useful observations and records on the children is a key requirement.

Playworkers / Holiday Playworkers

We currently have 2 vacancies for enthusiastic, creative, and fun loving playworkers to join our team. Must enjoy working with Primary school aged children.

Nursery Manager

We are looking for someone who is conscientious, reliable and very much a team player with an NVQ 2 in Playwork or equivalent (or above) and must have experience of working with this age range but also be familiar with working within the EYFS framework for planning and observations.

Due to the nature of our business, a flexible approach is essential, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents and staff.
