Help for Working Parents

Working families tax credit, disabled person's tax credit and childcare tax credit

If you are a working parent, you could be entitled to money from the government to help you pay for childcare. Financial help is available from the Inland revenue and it is called Working Families' Tax Credit for working parents, with extra help for childcare called the childcare tax credit.

Childcare Affordability Programme (CAP)
The affordable childcare places are available in nurseries taking part in this pilot scheme. The scheme aims to provide parents with greater access, choice flexibility and quality childcare provision to enable parents who are in receipt of Child Tax Credit ,at the higher rate then the family element, to remain in, or return to, full or part time work.

There is also a new form of financial help for people with disabilities who are employed, called Disabled Person's Tax Credit, with extra help for childcare called the childcare tax credit.
