Early Education and Childcare Team

Early Education and Childcare in Croydon is provided by a large range of providers, including:

• Childminders
• Day nurseries
• Pre-schools
• Independent school
• Out-of-school clubs

These provisions are run by private and volunteer organisations as well as Croydon Council.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Early Education and Childcare team is to ensure that, services work together to meet the needs of all the residents of Croydon, and offer quality services for all children.

We aim to make information on Early Years Education and Childcare places and funding accessible to all parents; in line with the governments 10 year strategy  for Early Years and Childcare.

In order to do this we:

• Promote integrated and partnership working
• Provide support and training for existing childcare providers
• Provide information for those wishing to work in or provide childcare
• Provide information and advice for parents

This will include the creation of 20 Children's centres across Croydon offering integrated services.  You could access these plans here (this is a large file of 250 kb.)
